Envirolink Northwest Procurement Projects


The Recycling and Waste programme supports the sector across the whole supply chain:

  • Research & Development - facilitating co-operative research and development work in industry and academia.
  • Technology Commercialisation - demonstrating capabilities of new waste treatment technologies.
  • Sector Development - supporting the growth of the sector and promoting its capabilities in the UK and overseas.
  • Market Development - developing markets for recycled products and materials.

    Procurement advice and support underpins the activities of the Market Development team. together with the services of the Buy Recycled Code, the team offers wide ranging sustainable procurement support to end purchasers, be they public or private , SME or non-SME, to help and encourage them to alter policy and actively begin to specify recycled content products within their contracts and tenders.
