Dr Matt Hill AIEMA - Chair, Organics SIG

Matt Hill joined Recycling Action Yorkshire in October 2005 as Organics Project Manager to support the expansion of organic waste processing in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Matt has worked in environmental monitoring and management since 1988. At the Water Research Centre, the Institute of Freshwater Ecology, then the University of Bradford, Matt has worked in sewer and freshwater monitoring, ecology, soil science, urban water pollution, monitoring and modelling human exposure to air pollution.

On joining Maslen Environmental in 2002 Matt managed the sustainability of the construction of the Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre at Barton-upon-Humber, and the Integrated Composting Programme for Sita Trust. Matt is currently leading the organics programme at RAY and managing the organic waste theme of the Delivering Excellence in Waste (DEW) project for the Yorkshire and Humber region, and is keen to facilitate the exchange of experience and knowledge through the ReMaDe Network UK Organics Special Interest Group (SIG).
