Members' Meetings and Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
The Network holds numerous meetings and events across the course of the year. While focussed on market development these cover the many different material and other project interests of members.

Members' Meetings
Members' meetings are held quarterly over a two day period. They take place at venues across the UK being hosted in turn by member organisations. So you may find yourself attending meetings in Glasgow, Belfast, Newport or London, depending on whose turn it is!Meetings usually comprise a Secial Interst Group (SIG) Meeting, updates on members' activities, a hot topic (e.g. the Waste Strategy Review) and a more detailed discussion of a single project provided by the host organisation. Visits to project sites are also a regular, and popular, feature of these meetings.
And then of course there is the networking...... The overnight stay allows for members to enjoy a meal together in the evening when they can catch up more informally - this is often the time when new project partnerships are devised and ideas gain momentum.
Special Interest Groups
There are currently three SIGs in operation, Organics, Procurement and Glass. Meetings of the SIGs are held regularly, often during members' meetings, but the Groups also have a life of their own and meetings are frequently arranged independently.These meetings are usually attended by member organisations' 'expert' in that particular field, which naturally leads to a high level, informed debate.
There are plans to to establish a Waste Data SIG in the near future and a Construction SIG is also in the formation stages.
Steering Group
The RNUK Steering Group oversees the day to day management of the RNUK. The Group is elected annually at the AGM from representatives of member organisations. It comprises six people along with any individuals that are formally co-opted onto the Group.The Group meets quarterly and formally reports back during members' meetings.
