Glasgow Agenda Announced
01/09/2008
The agenda for the next RNUK members' meeting, to be held in Glasgow on the 1st & 2nd October, has been announced. Day one includes a meeting of the Organics SIG, complete with a visit to the Deerdykes IVC plant, and day two is the full members' meeting.
Matt Hill, the new Organics SIG Chair, has arranged an excellent agenda for his SIG and the visit to Deerdykes will certainly prove interesting (see Enviros - Deerdykes case study). Colin Murchison of Remade Scotland has been busily phoning his contacts and has assisted in forming a lively agenda for the full members' meeting on day two. This has a Scottish theme in the morning, when we will be pleased to welcome guest speakers from the Scottish Government, WRAP and the Scottish Waste Awareness Group as well as Colin himself. The afternoon session will be used for members to provide updates and discuss their recent work, with idea and information exchange encouraged as always.
For the evening of the 1st we have made a booking at the Oran Mor restaurant, where attendees will be able to indulge in the usual networking and socialising which is so important to these gatherings. We will also have the added bonus of being joined on the evening by some of our guest speakers.
The meeting is open to non-members, for further information please get in touch with James Horne on 01274 699406 or at admin@remadenetwork.org.uk.
