Welcome all visitors to the ReMaDe Network UK web site.
The ReMaDe Network UK is a unique group of regional programmes that share the common aim of developing sustainable markets for recyclable materials. Each member programme operates along material supply chains, working with business and public sector organisations to support and diversify markets and recycling businesses to encourage more sustainable practice through economic development.
I believe the ReMaDe Network is ideally placed to help fill the gap between national policy and regional delivery. Regions are increasingly being highlighted in national and European legislation aimed at reducing environmental impact and development of new environmental technologies.
The network contains a great deal of expertise and knowledge which will be vital in helping the UK achieve the stretching recycling targets that lie ahead. Network members deliver significant carbon emission savings while also boosting investment, job creation and economic growth – a rare combination.
As chairman, I hope to expand the role and influence of the ReMaDe Network whilst ensuring we continue to develop real partnership at national and local levels and to share good practise and knowledge across the member organisations.
