Nicola Ball - Steering Group Member

Nicola is the Senior Market Development Manager for Envirolink Northwest. She has a MSc in Waste Management and has worked in the environment sector for 11 years.

Envirolink Northwest is a not-for-profit company which was set up by the Northwest Regional Development Agency to support the environmental technologies and services (ETS) sector in the North West. The Recycling & Waste Team within Envirolink is delivering a unique programme of support for the recycling and waste sector, of which market development is one strand. Nicola manages the market development team and delivery of market development services.

Nicola previously managed the organics programme for a successful sub-regional recyclables market development initiative called the Clean Merseyside Centre (CMC), which was a project of the Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority. The CMC was absorbed into Envirolink Northwest in 2006 at which point Nicola took up her current position to establish the new market development team and a programme of delivery across the entire North West region of England.

Prior to working in recyclables market development, Nicola delivered environmental support services to businesses in a range of industry sectors for Groundwork, an environmental regeneration charity, and she has worked in local government.

In May 2006 Nicola was voted in as a member of the Remade Network UK Steering Group.
